Thanks to our partners HWA we had an exciting weekend at the APAO this year in Taipei, Taiwan. With a great spot close to the entrance of the exhibition hall OCULUS was able to display its entire range of products and tend to the steady flow of congress participants who came by the booth with questions about our products. There were some less congress participants than at the previous venue, however the spread of international participants allowed us to connect with various surgeons and interested visitors from different corners of the world. We were happy meeting with a range of BIOM® users and with those eager to try our latest reusable, BIOM® 5 and the world's first & only disposable BIOM® ready system.

This year’s AAO was a remarkable event. Despite us having the hottest products in non-contact wide angle viewing, our neighbors from FCI caught fire during build-up. Although the actual fire caused little damage to our booth, we as well as the booth of OCULUS, did sustain significant water damage caused by the sprinkler system and additional water from the fire fighters. With an enormous team-effort and the support of Consult Europe, Inc. we were able to open the exhibits on time Saturday morning. OCULUS Surgical would like to thank all those that assisted, especially Consult Europe, Inc. and the Clark County Fire department for their efforts.
Despite this unexpected surprise, OCULUS Surgical enjoyed an extremely successful week during which we proudly presented the new WiFi RD lens for the OCULUS BIOM®, providing a 60º to 115º field of view, with a diameter of only 15mm. This makes the lens the perfect choice for surgeries on small and deep seated eyes. The new WiFi RD lens will be available in Q1 2016. Please contact us for more information.
